Great Trading Resources with absolutely no Bird Poop

In my last post I warned you against paying big money for products that promise to make Day Trading easy - products I call Bird Poop.   Fortunately there are some great resources available to help you learn to Day Trade that contain no Bird Poop; ie they provide valuable info, have a lot of integrity and are FREE.  Below I will personally recommend 3 of my favorites.  My recommendations are based spending years of my life primarily focused on reading everything I could on Trading, both online and in print.

The first is Woodies CCI Club.  I just can not say enough good things about Woodie and the club.  The motto of the club is "Traders Helping Traders".  Woodie and other club members spend huge amounts of time to help train other traders, but the amazing thing is that they all work for free.  They teach a specific Day Trading Method using the CCI indicator.  They have a free chat room, and lots of training for newbies where you can ask questions.  I could write pages describing all the great stuff they offer; instead let me just say if you are serious about trading you owe to yourself to spend a least a few hours checking them out.

Next is Brett Steenbarger.  Dr Steenbarger is unique in that he is both a Trader and a Psychologist.  The benefits of his unique perspective become more apparent the more you read him.  INHO trading psychology is every bit as important as technical analysis to a Day Trader,  and Dr Steenbarger's writings have no peer.  Check out his blog TraderFeed.  I have also read 2 of his books Enhancing Trader Performance and The Psychology of Trading, both of which I highly recommend.

Finally is Investopedia.  While Woodie and Dr Steenbarger offer original ideas and unique perspective, what Investopedia has to offer is lots of basic information to provide you with the knowledge foundation necessary to Trade.  They are not specific to Day Trading, but they certainly have much info on the subject. They have an excellent dictionary of trading terms, and a lot of brief, well written tutorials.
